Care for the Caregivers:
Practicing Self-Care for Helping Professionals

Time: 9:00 AM — 5:00 PM

Horse Sense of the Carolinas, Inc. is pleased to offer a one-day workshop designed to help service providers learn more about their own needs, explore boundary issues, and develop sustainable self-care practices.

Compassion Fatigue is an on-going issue for professionals in the ‘helping’ field. Consistent exposure to others’ wounds requires a daily practice of renewal. Through didactic learning as well as research-supported ‘spirit lifting’ activities, such as hands-on time with horses, guided explorations of nature, and creative, experiential exercises, participants will increase their ability to balance life & work.
