The Mane Event is tradition here, an annual get-together where we have horsey-themed games and art projects for the kiddos in the barn, equine demonstrations for adults, and refreshments for everyone.
This year, we’re going to decorate ornaments for each child to take home, plus decorate some for a special tree for the horses—wooden horseshoes, carrots, and more! Demonstration at noon! There’s also news that a few “reindeer” might show up!
Just come to the farm and be ready for fun. Our address is: 7041 Meadows Town Road…..about five miles west of Marshall, 28753. You can come via Weaverville to Marshall and then onto the farm, or you can take the New Leicester Highway from Patton Ave. in Asheville. This course is 5 days of on-location hands-on training and includes a digital pre-training webinar. You must complete the digital webinar prior to the Fundamentals training and attend the entire event for successful completion. In order to become certified as an Eagala practitioner individuals must take the Fundamentals of the Eagala Model Training Course. The training course is broken into 3 different types of activities: discussions, demonstrations and experiences. You will learn and put into practice the framework and standards of the Eagala Model, learn how to structure sessions and be introduced to a variety of different process skillsets.
This course is five days of on-location hands-on training. You must complete the Eagala pre-training webinar prior to registering, attend the entire training, and complete the post-training requirements for successful completion.

Open to all mental health practitioners, coaches, educators and equine specialists, this workshop will help you to develop your capacity to work with cultural differences. Through an experiential exploration with horses, we will deepen our understanding of how our own perspectives impact how we engage with our clients. No horse experience needed. All interactions with horses will be from the ground only. We’re adhering to guidelines to make sure this event is safe for everyone. You are invited to bring your own lunch.
