Course Description: This intensive provides an opportunity for you to experience the power of connecting with horses and explore the potential of partnering with them in therapy. Whether you are an experienced horse person or have no experience at all- this intensive will meet you where you are at and provide you with greater understanding of the field of equine assisted mental health. Horses excel at teaching and modeling social and emotional intelligence. As prey animals their physiology is attuned to detect incongruencies- either physical or emotional, in their environment and flee. As herd animals, they are relational and seek leadership and connection. All these attributes and so many more create an ideal context for our clients to heal and enhance their own emotional and social intelligence as it relates to self-awareness and self-regulation in the human world. You do not need to own or have experience with horses to provide powerful equine assisted therapeutic experiences for your clients. Come experience and learn how!
