Our COvid19 response
NOTICE: ALL FUTURE CORONAVIRUS UPDATES WILL BE POSTED HERE. THE MOST RECENT UPDATES WILL BE AT THE TOP.
Horse Sense of the Carolinas is an essential health service providing mental health support to WNC. We are currently seeing individual clients either at the farm or via TeleHealth, and our Fall-In Fridays and Teacher Tuesdays are still happening in shifts of 3 individuals at a time, by reservation. (See below to make a reservation.) Our executive team meets each Monday morning to make decisions about services based on the latest information, for the safety, health and well-being of our herds, horse and human.
We believe people need more help now than ever before, and we are here to help. Our ongoing services are outlined below.
With 110 acres, it's easy to maintain physical distancing while receiving emotional support from mental health professionals and horses and the immediate sensory benefits of a natural environment! All sessions are being scheduled with a half hour buffer between clients, so no-one is running into one another before/after session, and we have a health and safety protocol all staff and clients are asked to follow to keep everyone safe!
If you would like to begin individual therapy sessions, we have slots available. Contact Talia Aguayo, LMFT, to begin individual therapy: talia.aguayo@horsesenseotc.com.
Fall In Fridays is being offered on Fridays from 10-11 and 11:30-12:30 each Friday. There are 3 slots available in each hour. To reserve a spot in Fall-In Fridays (for veterans, first responders and their adult partners/caregivers), contact Jake: jake.larue@horsesenseotc.com.
Teacher Tuesdays is being offered 2-3 and 3:30-4:30 on Tuesdays. There are 3 slots available in each hour. To reserve a spot in Teacher Tuesdays (for teachers, educators and caregivers), contact Chris: chris.tucker@horsesenseotc.com.
We will get through this time, together!
